Of all the website platforms out there, Squarespace—in my opinion—has the most to offer and is the most user friendly for business owners to update and edit once handed off. Squarespace allows for completely custom, from-scratch design (no over-used templates!), without needing to additionally pay a developer to code it from scratch. That said, I am still able to add snippets of custom code to every site I design in order to perfectly reflect my vision. Squarespace is constantly updating and providing new features and integrations, so it only keeps getting better. And no, I don’t get paid to design client sites with Squarespace :) But, my clients do get 20% off their first year subscription! I’ve been building sites on SS for over a decade, and feel confident this is the best—and most economical—option for small businesses.

Upon signing the contract we will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit to secure your project on our calendar. The remaining balance will be due after final site approval.

The Signature Package includes:

• Homepage layout + up to 6 completed primary page designs with templates for you to duplicate later on

• Overall design - font styling, color palette, icons and brand elements

• Content input, copy formatting and image optimization

• Form setup and storage

• App integration as necessary

• Social media integration

• Domain setup

• Search Engine Optimization

• Two hours of training upon handoff, along with PDF help files

The Ecommerce Package includes everything in the Signature Package, plus:

• Online shop setup, with a Storefront page and up to five product or service page templates

• A product category page template

• Checkout page

Our general timeframe is 4-6 weeks for a Signature Website, and 5-7 weeks for an Ecommerce Website. This is assuming you have all brand assets and content prepared and provided to us at the project start.

Factors that could increase the project length are additional page build-outs, custom functionality or app integrations, or complex CSS work. Usually we will be able to give you a more realistic timeframe once we learn the details of your project.

Image licensing, whether you opt for paid stock imagery or a brand photoshoot, could be an additional cost if you do not currently have images. Font licensing is also a potential cost, but usually is not necessary.

You will need to subscribe to a Squarespace plan, and we will help determine which is the best fit for your needs. As a SS Circle Member, our clients get 20% off their first year, and we recommend paying annually versus monthly for the most savings.

If you have not purchased your domain name, that will be an additional small cost. We recommend NameCheap or Godaddy.

For future edits or maintenance down the road, we are available for Design Days in which we focus solely on your needs.

We will need you to gather any branding assets you have — logos, color palette, typefaces, textures/patterns, brand guidelines, photos, etc. If you do not yet have a logo, I can refer you to my partner for logo design.

You will also need to prep all content including page headlines, subheads, body copy, forms, etc. along with images or graphics preferred for specific pages. Typically our clients outline this in a Google Doc that we can both access.
